lyrics
Drinking a lot more than we should, heart broke we need good times
Takes, time, takes,
Takes time to fix that man, takes time to heal that woman
We got a crew who keep us loose, pat our backs, spike our juice good
times, good, times
Good times can help that man, good times can heal that woman
Turning it up, we don't turn it down, black hearts meet downtown tonight
takes, time, takes
Let's get a drink my man, let's get a drink my lady
We're a little bit low but it ain't so bad, raised ourselves, our own dads right?
takes, time, takes
We got tonight my boys, we got tonight sweet lady
Johnny's wasted, Judy's wasted, we're all wasted friends
Tim got over, Steve got over, we got over it
Thinking a lot more than we should, hold that thought, life's still good right?
takes, time, takes
When nobody loves this man, and this man don't love nobody
I'm in a club with all my sad crew, try whiskey, travel through time
takes, time, takes
time to forgive that man, time to forget that woman
We all make the, never break the, East Side Good Times 5
Wasted, woeful, ever hopeful, tattooed on our side
The melody, the tone, the lyrics. GENIUS. I totally dig The Dudes (which brought me here )...but this has a special place in my heart. Love it! No jokes in this post! captaincrim
Montreal psych-pop veterans sound as infectious and hypnotic as ever on their seventh LP, slinging jangly riffs and bright vocal harmonies. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 14, 2024
Here, Vacon chats about love related themes, the vexes and momentary satisfactions one encounters in trying to bang one's way to happiness. The ladies love Danny Vacon, and Danny Vacon loves the ladies, and yet the two somehow elude each other. I can't wait for the album in which Vacon sings about raising kids, going to work, trying to stuff some Netflix in with his long-suffering wife, and maybe binge drinking hard alcohol after everyone has gone to bed.
