lyrics
Bless my soul don't take my life away (bless this souls don't take my life away)
Keep my lady don't destroy anything (bless this soul don't take my life away)
I like to breath, right? I've gotten used to it
It kind of feels nice, I'll keep doing it
Bless this city, this soul, this rock & roll
When I'm dead
Nobody calls to see if anyone came home with me
no one will love you when you're dead
When I'm dead
I'll never get to know who's laughing at my funeral
I'll never know it if I'm dead
When I say D you count to 3, yeah... 1...2...3
When I say E you count to 3, yeah... 1...2...3
When I say A you feel OK, don't take no shit don't quit, no way
When I say D you count to 3, yeah... 1...2...3
When I'm dead
I'll never get to say my enemies have all been slayed
I'll never say it if I'm dead
When I'm dead
And never shall be heard their broke, defeated final words
I'll never hear it if I'm dead
When I'm dead
Nobody calls to see if anyone came home with me
nobody loves you when you're dead
I'll never get to know if Bobby made it off with Jo
Nobody tells me when I'm dead
I'll never get to say my enemies have all been slayed
Nobody tells me if I'm dead
The melody, the tone, the lyrics. GENIUS. I totally dig The Dudes (which brought me here )...but this has a special place in my heart. Love it! No jokes in this post! captaincrim
Montreal psych-pop veterans sound as infectious and hypnotic as ever on their seventh LP, slinging jangly riffs and bright vocal harmonies. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 14, 2024
Here, Vacon chats about love related themes, the vexes and momentary satisfactions one encounters in trying to bang one's way to happiness. The ladies love Danny Vacon, and Danny Vacon loves the ladies, and yet the two somehow elude each other. I can't wait for the album in which Vacon sings about raising kids, going to work, trying to stuff some Netflix in with his long-suffering wife, and maybe binge drinking hard alcohol after everyone has gone to bed.
